1. Use 75% alcohol to clean the surface of the measurement site to remove the cuticle and sweat stains on human skin and prevent the electrode from bad contact.
2. Be sure to connect the ground wire, which is very important to display the waveform normally.
3. Choose the correct type of blood pressure cuff according to the patient's situation (adults, children and newborns use different specifications of cuff, here use adults as an example) .
4. The cuff should be wrapped 1~2cm above the patients' elbow and should be loose enough to be inserted into 1~2 fingers. Too loose may lead to high pressure measurement, too tight may lead to a low pressure measurement, also make the patient uncomfortable and influence the patients'arm blood pressure recovery. The cuff's catheter should be placed at the brachial artery and the catheter should be on the extension line of the middle finger.
5. The arm should be flush with the heart, and the patient should be quite and not make movements while the blood pressure cuff is inflated.
6. The arm measuring blood pressure should not be used to measure temperature at the same time, which will affect the accuracy of temperature value.
7. The position of SpO2 probe should be separated from the NIBP measuring arm. Because blood flow is blocked during blood pressure measuring, and blood oxygen cannot be measured at this time. Patient monitor will show "SpO2 probe off" on monitor screen.
